Monday 29 April -  Leonardslee lake and Gardens,

Departing: Sainsbury bus stop Fleet Rd 8.30am and Cody Sports & Social Club 9am. The cost (£35). Rhododendrons, Azaleas and Camellias all in a woodland setting. Plenty of wild birds and animals to spot in the extensive grounds and seven  lakes,  even Wallabies. Sculpture Park, Rock Garden and a Dolls House. So much to keep us interested. There is even a 'buggy' down to the lakeside.Electric buggies to hire before the day, for those with walking problems. there is a lot of walking on uneven grounds at times, so members with walking problems please have a word with the 'team'. Thursday 16 May -  rearranged visit to Hever Castle, childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Queen of England,

Departing: Sainsbury bus stop Fleet Rd 9am.   Cody Sports & Social Club 9.10-9.20am. The cost (£36) is the same from the cancelled trip but there is the bonus of an Artisan Craft Fair (120-140 stalls) of Kent crafters, in the grounds included in the price. Hever also now has a new room dedicated to Anne Boleyn.

Wednesday 21 August -  Chavenage House, Tetbury, Gloucestershire

 A privately owned Elizabethan  manor house that in its 400 year history has been owned by two families. It is still lived in by the second family today and our tour will be taken by a family member. From Edward The Confessor, Henry VIII, King Charles I and Oliver Cromwell, what tales are we in for?

Many TV dramas' and Films have been shot here the latest being Poldark. There will be time to explore Cirencester after.

Cost to be confirmed. Booking open at the Open Day on 17 April.

Thursday 26 September -  Visit to "Mama Mia" the musical

Visits are pleased to announce that we have managed to get special rate tickets for Mamma Mia the Musical that most of us are familiar with. A real treat and feel good show at the Novello Theatre in London which is on until the end of September.  BOOKINGS TAKEN  AT THE MONTHLY MEETING - WEDNESDAY 21 FEBRUARY AT THE HARLINGTON. Limited Seats available!

  

The show is on Thursday 26th September 3:00pm matinee performance.   Cost - £53pp

  

Leaving Sainsbury bus stop 9:00am, Leaving Cody 9:30am. Hopefully we will have time to browse around Covent Garden before the show.

BOOKINGS

Normally taken two months in advance of the visit (there are occasional exceptions to this) at the monthly meeting from 10.15am. Email or telephone booking enquiries do not guarantee a place but will be added after the meeting if there is availability. Departure time and organiser’s contact details will be given on booking. Contact details, membership number and emergency contact will be required on booking. A cheque or cash will be required on the booking day to secure a place.

A waiting list will be held for popular visits. Notify the organiser as early as possible if you wish to be removed from the list.

PAYMENT

Cash or cheques payable to ‘Fleet & District U3A’ when booking. Driver's tip & parking included in the price. REFUNDS will be made only if places can be sold on. This applies to all visits.

TRAVEL INSURANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for overnight stays. 

DEPARTURE

Departure is by coach from Cody Sports & Social Club Old Ively Rd. GU14 OLP or from Sainsbury’s bus stop in Fleet Rd. 30 mins before the departure time from Cody, request this when booking.

LIABILITY

Members participate at their own risk and must be responsible for their own ability to attend a visit. Fleet u3a does not accept liability for any personal accident or loss or damage to possessions.

Members must ensure ICE details are accessible, on the reverse of their membership cards or in their purses/wallets or mobiles, (which need to be kept on for the duration of the visit).
